MAGAZINE WEEK and Upcoming Events!

The magazines will be out soon! You can pick one up at a variety of locations, see tracingthefjord.com/locations. I ran into Sarah and Matthew from Mike's Beach Resort this past weekend and we are planning a great feature where we visit the Eldon Store, grab some supplies and then head off to their beach at mike’s see what we can cook up. • The salmon are starting to run! Tumwater falls has a new viewing area.
• Wednesday the city of Shelton Parks and Rec Program start their fall evening yoga class series. Visit the city website for registration.
• Thursday, Love Local presents The Enchanted Fae Festival at Huntamer Park in Lacey from 5 to 9 in the evening.
• Friday the Mason County Historical Museum in Shelton is hosting a reception with local photographer Hohn Tylczak. The event starts at 5 pm at the museum on Railroad Ave. Admission is free
• Friday in Quilcene, pack up the blankets and the kids for an outdoor showing of Charlotte’s Web in Worthington Park at the linger longer stage. The movie starts at 7. Admission is by donation. This family farm classic marks the start of 20th anniversary of the Jefferson County farm tour that runs all weekend in the area.
• Saturday is the Quilcene fair, parade & car show. The parade down HWY 101 gets going at 11am. Stick around for live music, vendors and food. There are kids games and activities as well as fair entry displays. There’s still time to get htat blue ribbon for your zucchini. Visit Quilcenefair.org for info and entry details.
• Sunday it’s the tenth anniversary of the Quilcene oyster races! Work off all that fair food with a run around the water view route ending with oysters supplied by pacific seafoods. There’s a kids race too. Go to quilraces.com for registration.
• Also this weekend, Hama Hama Oysters is hosting a two day banjo party at the farm. This all ages event features food and live music in a beautiful setting. Single day passes are $30. Full weekend passes are $50. Kids 15 and under are free
• Saturday the Squaxin Island Museum is bringing back their popular Water Sounds auction. Enjoy a traditional dinner and live and silent auction in the skookum event center. Tickets available online.
• Saturday from 9-4:30, step back in time at Millersylvania State Park and experience living history with a civilian conservation corps reenactment. Participate in a walking tour of historic structures at the park and learn more about this amazing history.
• In Hoodsport Great Bend Music is presenting a Grease movie sing-along beer choir in honor of Olivia Newton-John. This all-ages outdoor movie is hosted at the potlatch brewery starting at dusk.
• The North Mason Chamber Gala is this weekend at the Alderbrook Resort & Spa.
