Friday, October 30, 5:00 - 8 PM
βOnce upon a midnight drearyβ¦ Quoth the Ravenβ¦ Nevermore.
This spooky season, step into the mysterious world of Edgar Allan Poe for an evening of literary readings, coastal fare, and a few curious diversions at the Fjord Restaurant. Join us for a celebratory multi-interactive event featuring live readings by KMASβs Jeff Slakey, Poe-inspired pairings in food and fun, and a gathering where the ravens may know more than they let on.
A special five-course prix fixe menu will feature locally raised oysters, salad, bisque, slow-roasted pork or Mussel Marinara & linguine. And for dessert? A delicious trio of appropriately inspired house made gelatos. The cost for the fixed menu is $75/person and does not include beverages or additional appetizers .
The restaurant will also remain open for regular dining throughout the evening, so you can join us for dinner, stop in for a reading, enjoy a drink, or simply see what the ravens have in store. The special prix fixe menu will be available alongside our regular menu. Expect atmospheric readings, mysterious little surprises, and plenty of reasons to linger a while.
The $10 cost below is to hold your table reservation for the evening.
The charge will be applied to your final bill as a credit.
Weβll be hosting Nevermore primarily outdoors, with heaters, lanterns, and live readings by Jeff Slakey, who will share selected passages from works of Edgar Allan Poe throughout the evening. There will also be a few other Poe-inspired activities, surprises, and diversions happening spontaneously throughout the evening. Feel free to dress for the occasion, we will have gifts and recognition for best costumes.
Again, our regular menu will be available, along with the special prix fixe dinner. When you RSVP, please let us know whether you plan to order from the regular menu or would like to reserve the special dinner. Space is limited.β This not your traditional halloween event. There is no candy corn, taffy pulling, nor pumpkin carving but all ages are welcome.
