The Grapeview Water and Art Festival is this weekend at the Fair Harbor Marina. This all ages community celebration features food, live music by JP and the OK Rhythm Boys, kids crafts and water golf, A fishing derby and plenty of high quality juried artwork for sale from Northwest artists. Parking and admission are free, the event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.

Shelton Cinemas next free movie Monday morning is "Despicable Me"

Thursday Hama Hama Oysters is hosting Music From The Shell Pile starting at 2 pm. Family friendly in a beautiful outdoor canal side setting, Enjoy the jazz and blues of Jean Lenke. Also, at the Potlatch Brewing Co. in Hoodsport, check out trivia night starting at 7 pm, this is also free to participate, form a team up to six players. Skookum Rotary’s Music In The Park featuring local bluegrass band, Runaway Train, they are the host band of Bluegrass In The Forest coming up July 29-31 at the Shelton Soccer Park.

Saturday, starting at 8 am at Lake Cushman the Beast Of Big Creek trail run is returning to the Olympics. This popular and scenic mountain race traces a route to the summit of Mt. Elinor. Registration is at rockcandyrunning.com. The Hub in Belfair, is hosting their “Junk In The Trunk” parking lot flea market Saturday also. You can rent a truck space for $5 or come shop from the deals all day!

Sunday, from 9 am - 3 pm kayaks and SUP are invited to participate in 2nd annual Hammer The Inlet in Shelton. This is a non-motorized race including stand-up paddle boards, row boats, kayaks and canoes on Hammersley Inlet. There is a short course and a long course both starting out from the Shelton Yacht Club, details available at salmonbaypaddle.com

Bluegrass is next weekend, Bluegrass From The Forest will return to the Olympic Peninsula for its 17th year. Camping, jamming, workshops, and great bands are hallmarks of this event! Details and tickets available at bluegrassfromtheforest.com
