April 23 | Roam in for lunch and learn at the Fjord

The Mason County Tourism Lunch & Learn series is back with its first luncheon of the season taking place on April 23 at 11:30 AM at the Fjord Oyster Bank in Hoodsport. This community-focused event is designed for Mason County businesses and their employees that interact with the public—such as those in dining, lodging, and retail—highlighting how tourism directly impacts their success.

The seminar begins with a light buffet lunch, followed by networking introductions among attendees. Thursday’s featured speaker is Jodi Woolard, founder of Roam Wolfdog Sanctuary. Her presentation will showcase how the sanctuary offers a unique visitor experience while fostering greater understanding between humans and wildlife.

Roam Wolfdog Sanctuary is a distinctive destination in Mason County dedicated to the care and conservation of wolfdogs. The sanctuary provides educational, up-close experiences that allow visitors to safely observe and engage with these animals while learning about their behavior, needs, and the challenges they face. Through its work, Roam promotes responsible ownership, wildlife awareness, and meaningful human-animal connections, making it an important contributor to the region’s tourism landscape.

This event is part of an ongoing series of speaker-led community conversations aimed at providing resources and strengthening connections among local tourism stakeholders. Lunch is provided, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
